Ken-ichi Shudo was born in Tokyo, Japan. He received the B. Sc. degree from Waseda University (1991, Tokyo), the M.Sc. degree from University of Tokyo (1994, Tokyo), and the Ph. D. degree in experimental physics from University of Tokyo (1997, Tokyo). After working at Riken as a postdoctoral researcher (1997-99), he works at YNU where he became an associate professor of physics (2005-). His work is focused at ultrafast dynamics on solid surfaces.
