Ikufumi Katayama (Member, Associate Professor), Department of Physics, YNU

Ikufumi Katayama was born in Hyogo, Japan. He received the B. Sc. degree from Kyoto University (2000, Kyoto), the M. Sc. degree from Kyoto University (2002, Kyoto), and the Ph. D. degree in science (physics) from Kyoto University (2006, Kyoto). From 2004 to 2006, he received a research fellowship for young scientists from MEXT. He joined Itoh Lab. at Osaka University from 2006 to 2007, and then joined the Interdisciplinary Research Center at YNU from 2007 to 2011 as a research fellow. He has been Associate Professor of Physics of YNU at 2012. His current work is devoted to development of novel THz spectroscopy and phonon dynamics.
